The Goffs Million races were flat horse races in Ireland open to two-year-old thoroughbreds. They were run at the Curragh, and they were scheduled to take place each year in September. ==History== The races were funded by Goffs, a leading Irish bloodstock auctioneer. Each had prize money of around €1,000,000. They were reserved for horses catalogued as yearlings in the previous year's Goffs Million Sale. The first running was in 2006, when the Goffs Million was a single race contested over 7 furlongs (1,408 metres).〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url = http://www.irishracing.com/result?prn=Curragh&prc=084&prd=200609191555 )〕 The event was split into two separate divisions in 2007. The divisions initially comprised the Goffs Fillies Million for fillies,〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url = http://www.irishracing.com/result?prn=Curragh&prc=084&prd=200709141610 )〕 and the Goffs (C & G) Million for colts and geldings.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url = http://www.irishracing.com/result?prn=Curragh&prc=084&prd=200709141730 )〕 A new format was introduced in 2009, when the divisions were the Goffs Million Sprint (over 6 furlongs),〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url = http://www.irishracing.com/result?prn=Curragh&prc=084&prd=200909271520 )〕 and the Goffs Million Mile (over 8 furlongs).〔(【引用サイトリンク】 url = http://www.irishracing.com/result?prn=Curragh&prc=084&prd=200909271630 )〕 The races were discontinued in 2010. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Goffs Million」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
